THE DOWNVInD (Distant Offshore Windfarms with No Visual Impact in Deepwater) PROJECT OBJECTIVE IS TO MAKE THE STEP CHANGE ADVANCES IN TECHNIQUES, TECHNOLOGIES & PROCESSES NEEDED TO ENABLE DEVELOPMENT OF LARGE CAPACITY WINDFARMS OFFSHORE IN DEEPWATER.

The DOWNVInD Project is coordinated by Talisman Energy (UK) Limited who are joint main funders with Scottish & Southern Energy. Other consortium members comprise utilities, research establishments, major contractors and specialist consultancies in offshore wind energy.

DOWNVInD incorporates the Beatrice Windfarm Demonstrator project.
